Jesus will save all humans

Having been raised in church I’ve finally realized I am not a Christian. Even though I try to follow Jesus, I can’t call myself a Christian. My beliefs are far from what anyone might call Christian. I don’t believe any religion or belief has the power to save anyone. I know Jesus is the One who saves.

I wanted to share these Scriptures which very clearly indicate that Jesus will redeem all human beings:

John 12:30-32

John 12:30-32 New International Version (NIV)
30 Jesus said, “This voice was for your benefit, not mine. 31 Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out. 32 And I, when I am lifted up[a] from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”

Romans 5:15-19

Romans 5:15-19 New International Version (NIV)
15 But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many! 16 Nor can the gift of God be compared with the result of one man’s sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. 17 For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!
18 Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. 19 For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.

Romans 11:26

Romans 11:26 New International Version (NIV)
26 and in this way[a] all Israel will be saved. As it is written:
“The deliverer will come from Zion;
he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.

Romans 11:32

Romans 11:32 New International Version (NIV)
32 For God has bound everyone over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.

1 Corinthians 15:22

1 Corinthians 15:22 New International Version (NIV)
22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.

Colossians 1:15-20

Colossians 1:15-20 New International Version (NIV)
The Supremacy of the Son of God
15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

1 Timothy 4:9-11

1 Timothy 4:9-11 New International Version (NIV)
9 This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance. 10 That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.
11 Command and teach these things.

Revelation 5:11-14

Revelation 5:11-14 New International Version (NIV)
11 Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. 12 In a loud voice they were saying:
“Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength
and honor and glory and praise!”
13 Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying:
“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be praise and honor and glory and power,
for ever and ever!”
14 The four living creatures said, “Amen,” and the elders fell down and worshiped.

Revelation 21:5

Revelation 21:5 New International Version (NIV)
5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

In light of these Scriptures and because I personally know Jesus and believe He agrees with Scripture I can no longer assert that a prayer can save anyone. I prayed many times the sinners prayer and it never saved me. Letting Jesus have control of my life in each moment is what saves me. In the moments when I choose to take control I only cause trouble and make things worse for myself.
